ABOUT US
DEVELOPING MYANMAR
MYANMAR
For decades, Myanmar (Burma) has been one of the poorest and most isolated countries in the world. Myanmar lags far behind its neighbors, and millions of small farmers are still ignored. It will take years of sustained effort, wise leadership and effective use of investment to rebuild the country and bring millions of rural families out of poverty. Now it is a key moment in the long history of the country. Over the past five years, the pace of change in Myanmar has been dizzying.
We saw here the enormous potential of how well-designed products and services can have a significant impact on the lives of farmers. In a country where 70 percent of the population depends on agriculture, the improvement of technology and farming methods is vital for improving livelihoods.
THE ENORMOUS POTENTIAL
Following fairtrade standards is the way we fulfill our mission and provide full benefits to the farmers and enterprises we work with.
